Although different professions, my husband as an ex-professional football player was able to gracefully conquer many of those challenges and see massive changes in his health as well.
The "Dr. Mcdougall" and his lovely wife Mary are two of the Icons and trailblazers for whole foods plant-based eating. You will love his matter of fact, straight to the point, not holding anything back type of teaching style. This man truly practices what he preaches and as a board certified physician will show the the ins and outs of eating a non-measuring, tasty, low-fat, starch based diet. My entire family has eaten this way for 15 years now and have not looked backed due to the amazing changes in our lives all around. Was it always easy? .......Not even close BUT was it WORTH IT?........ABSOLUTELY!
Once you began to follow Kiki you will feel like you've always known her. Her simple, SIMple, SIMPLE way of doing life as her best self gives such great inspiration. You look at her pictures and say, "No way could this really be her!" As I mom of 10 I dig her easy to follow and how to be successful meal videos. I totally don't have lots of time to do gourmet meals but I can't NOT make the time to feed my family meals that will keep them thriving for the long haul. Had a severe injury to his heel that he healed himself with a speedy recovery through naturopathic medicine which got him interested in medicine. You'll get to know his way of eating as the "nutritarian diet" focusing on micronutrients and adding the G-bombs (berries,onions, mushroom, beans, nuts and seeds). No weighing or measuring, listening to your body and eating at least one pound of raw vegetables and another pound of cooked each day.
